In fact, our Founder, Alan Tobiason, still teaches a Purpose Driven Life class at Sarasota’s Salvation Army Center for Hope. ​At Purpose House, many residents share similar struggles and circumstances, creating an environment of mutual support and accountability—essential in early recovery.​ Meetings play a significant role at Purpose House. On Tuesday nights, our house leaders gather for support and training sessions. On Thursdays, we host All-House meetings to celebrate milestones and reinforce recovery.

On Sunday evenings, all our residents attend Celebrate Recovery Sarasota, a faith-based 12-Step program designed to help individuals overcome hurts, hang-ups, and habits. With diverse topics, worship bands, guest speakers, and more, Celebrate Recovery brings Sarasota’s recovery community together and strengthens the bonds that encourage new beginnings.
